How robust are the ViewPoint Touch Screens?
CRT™ have partnered IBM who provide the retail hardened AnyPlace Kiosk (APK). The APK is a robust and proven device, ideal for high-volume public usage, which has been specially designed for use in tough retail environments.
The APK offers a toughened glass screen, with infra red sensors, rather than 'resistive' touchscreen technology which is more prone to damage with use. We offer solid-steel stand options, including a security hook built into the design and floor mountings, so that they can be safely and securely deployed in multiple locations with ease. Deployments can be permanent or short-term.
The IBM AnyPlace Kiosk has been tested to:
• Withstand spillages
• Cope with extreme temperature conditions
• Be resistant to interference from other devices such as mobile phones etc.
Our APKs have been placed in supermarkets, front enquiry desks, train stations, tube stations, motorway services, leisure centres, museums, factories, universities, housing estates, schools, colleges and hospitals. All of these have included unsupervised sightings and have been successfully deployed for capturing high-volume, high-quality customer feedback.
